FAQs

Who do you supply equipment to?

We supply hospitals, clinics, NGOs, and medical professionals in South Africa and abroad. Whether you're setting up a facility or replacing key equipment, we offer cost-effective solutions — from functioning units to parts-only items.

Do you deliver internationally?

Yes. We deliver across South Africa and ship globally. Our team can arrange local freight or export logistics depending on your location.

How do you source your equipment?

We acquire surplus and redundant equipment through a wide network of private hospitals, suppliers, and auctions. Some items are donated. Everything is logged, assessed, and made available for sale — either in working condition or for parts.

What kind of equipment do you sell?

We stock hospital furniture, surgical tools, diagnostic equipment, patient monitors, imaging systems, and more — including sensitive equipment like x-ray and C-arm units. Some items are fully functional, others are sold as-is for parts or repair.

Do you test or refurbish equipment?

Where applicable, we test and refurbish items. In many cases, especially for high-value or specialist machines, we sell them as-is for spares or repair. Each listing specifies the condition.

Are you licensed to handle medical equipment?

Yes. MediMerchant is fully licensed to own, handle, and transport medical equipment, including radiation-emitting and regulated devices. This ensures compliance and peace of mind for both suppliers and buyers.

Do you offer warranties?

Only on select items. Most products — especially those sold for parts — are sold without warranty. If a warranty is available, it will be clearly stated.

Can I request a specific item not listed?

Yes. Use our VIP Sourcing Form and we’ll search our supplier network. If we don’t have it now, we may be able to locate it and offer options.

Do you also buy equipment?

Yes, from private hospitals and clinics. If you have redundant or unused equipment, we may purchase or accept it depending on the condition, documentation, and current demand.
